Woo. That was fast. Chinese New Year'd already come and gone. Yeah. Nice ang baos and everything, but you gotta divide that money into half when you convert into sin dollar. Sigh. Lol. Anyway, had a nice time with the family and everything. Steamboat dinner on the Eve, noisy cousins, even noisier uncles and aunts gathering around the table and everywhere else. Nothing much beats that, I guess. There's always something different from what I always have since young. I'd never looked forward to a Chinese New Year like this one. I hated the routine things back at home. I hated those entertaining, those serving of drinks and tidbits. Sigh. Not that we don't do that here, but at least I'm not the one that had to do it. Heh. I feel more comfy here, for the first time during Chinese New Year. Maybe it had to do with me being around with my dad. Or maybe I just don't like my Singapore relatives. I don't know. All I know was that I want to spend all my CNYs here, if I can.

Really torn between 2 places. It's always the case. Sigh. You never know it's that hard to live with this until you are trapped in the situation. Torn between two sides of my closest people in my life. Yeah. I hate that. But well. I'm talking crap when I'm supposed to be happy on festive occasions. So yeah fine.

We watched our neighbours played with fireworks over at the house. (Believe it or not. FIREWORKS. Photos later. Gosh.) You know, not those kind of loud cracking noises crackers, but those real fireworks you only see on National Day? Yeah. Tons of people all around our area (more like all over Kuching) set off the fireworks around midnight. Can't believe it. And you thought you saw it all at the Stadium if you went to the National Parade. Because in our area all our houses are those single-storey semi-detached kind, you can really see the panorama of fireworks all around you. One of those 'bursts' spanned about 3 houses long, almost covered the sky. Man. Too bad we didn't buy the fireworks. Could have set off a few on our own.

Nice huh? Those fireworks... Posted by Hello

Green sparks from behind the house...

Another huge burst...

This one was BIG......

Yeah. Real big fireworks. Then we decided to drive back to the condo, because we live on the tenth floor, so the balcony would be a nicer place to look at the night sky. Man. Almost couldn't see through the fog the fireworks created. Can imagine how much fireworks was set off that night. The view was great. You can see which house set off which firework, then how big it was, what was the pattern... Yeah. Damn cool.

Really spectacular. Kuching police too lax already. Fireworks are supposed to be banned, but people still buy it from illegal vendors and catalogues. Can you believe it? Catalogues. LOL.
